"Essential Back to School Safety Tips for Parents: How to Build a Child Safety Kit"

Updated: Aug 9

Who knew we'd dive into body safety education and back-to-school topics so soon? But hey, here we are, ready or not!

Time to buckle up for this new collaborative class!

Rosalia Rivera and I are partnering on this critical body safety class, for you! We are both D2L.org Stewards of Children Facilitators and Advocates for Child Safety. We both recently spoke on panels at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health Envision Conference.

We came back with cutting-edge research and a newfound passion for collaborating more to help you.

Need Help Creating a child safety kit, a toolbox, or prevention resources... without stressing out?

We feel your worries and are here to help you turn them into action with these child safety resources.

We get it—sending your little one off to school is a whirlwind of emotions. Excitement? Check. A touch of worry? Anxiety?Stress? Uncertainty

We know---one of your top priorities is ensuring your child's safety, particularly protecting them from the dangers of sexual abuse. But you might not know where to start.

That’s where we come in...

Our Back-to-School Body Safety program is your crash course and guide to equipping you and your kiddo with the know-how to stay safer (without crashing or feeling overwhelmed). We are both calm, cool, and collected! We won't freak you out or scare you. But we will give you a collection of must-have tools and strategies that will help you protect your kids. Many of these strategies can be found in my new book,

We will be breaking it all down with you.

Protecting Our Precious Ones

Parents, you are doing an amazing job guiding our youngest learners through this big, wide world. Remember that body safety education is crucial and non-negotiable. It empowers kids by teaching them about personal boundaries, consent, and recognizing red flags. You are helping them stay safe and confident by providing them with these tools. Keep up the great work!

When parents and children understand their rights and how to advocate for them, their confidence skyrockets. Kids are more likely to speak up if something feels off; this awareness is their shield against potential threats.

We are so excited to share with you some valuable information! Research has shown that parents play a crucial role in preventing child sexual abuse. It is our responsibility, not our children's, to protect them from harm. By joining our class, you will gain valuable knowledge on how to empower your child with important safety skills. You will also learn what actions you can take as a parent to reduce the risk of abuse beyond teaching body safety. Let's work together to keep our children safe!
